Max Buettner is an artist and filmmaker whose work lives in the intersection of queer identity, pop culture, and deeply personal connections with the world around him. He is currently pursuing an MFA in film production from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Max brings his knowledge and training from other mediums of art, such as painting, illustration and graphic design, into his filmmaking by focusing on production design and visual storytelling. Furthermore, his experiences as a queer individual has created a through line in his work, exploring themes of identity, relationships and self expression.
